Kundalini Yoga originated with the Sikh Community in the Pujab Region of India and was first taught in North America in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan. A Kundalini Yoga session consists of performing Kriyas (a completed action) exercises and or meditations to promote the mind body connection.
Kriya may involve Asanas (physical movements), Mudras (hand positions),Bandas (body locks) Pranayama (breathing techniques), Mantras (chanting), enhancing mental focus.
The effects of this powerful practice will vary with each individual person, and may result in improved functions of the body's systems including cardio- vascular, digestive, nervous, lymphatic and glandular.
