Relax & Restore Workshop

This workshop will be part discussion and part hands on. It is suitable for all students who want to dive deeper into their practice. Ashley will be discussing and demonstrating:

ॐ The autonomic nervous system-the anatomy of stress and relaxation and how stress effects our health

ॐ The diaphragm and breathwork- the anatomy of breath, biofeedback, and pranayama

ॐ Using the senses to set the mood- how to set up for a relaxing experience

ॐ Restorative yoga- purpose, props, and poses

ॐ Guided relaxation- allow yourself to let go and relax

Part one: The Autonomic Nervous System
- This is a discussion of the anatomy behind stress including the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and how stress effects our health

Part two: The Diaphragm and Breathwork
- This is about the anatomy of breath, biofeedback, and pranayama

Part three: Using the Senses to Set the Mood
- Setting up for a relaxing experience

Part four: Restorative Yoga
- Intro to restorative yoga, props, and poses

Part five: Guided Relaxation
- An awesomely relaxing journey through the five koshas
